Imbolc is a day that marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, and is often associated with the beginning of the spring season. Imbolc is also associated with the goddess Brigid, who is honored during this time. Brigid represents fertility, healing, and new beginnings.  Imbolc is known to be a festival of light, celebrating the return of light, life, and welcoming spring. To mark this special day of the year, Brigid's crosses are often created.

Join Michelle of HE3ART in celebrating Imbolc by creating your own Brigid's cross! Mark this Fire Festival, welcome in spring, and celebrate the light! Brigid's cross are traditionally woven on Imbolc and hung over your door or hearth to protect against fire, hunger, or evil for the year to come.

Michelle will begin by guiding you through a visualization to release the past year and  welcome the new.  You will build your own Brigid's cross from locally harvested cattail reed, gathered by Michelle herself. Light refreshments will be available to enjoy in honor of Brigid.

Although we are still gripped in the depths of winter here in the north, we can bask in this celebration of the returning of the light as a first sign of spring!

Happening - Thursday, February 1
Time - 7pm to 9pm
Total Investment - $40
For those who joined in this event last year, please bring your crosses! As we will be building new Brigid's crosses for this year, we will safely release last years crosses with gratitude and love.
